July 14, 2016

Charlotte, NC— Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) joined the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus and other members of Congress to remember the 49 victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting on its one-month anniversary.

Rep. Adams paid special homage to the memory of one of North Carolina victims, Shane Evan Tomlinson, by holding his picture during the vigil atop the U.S. Capitol steps. Following the day of remembrance, Congresswoman Adams had this to say:

"Congress should stay in town and do their job by bringing gun safety legislation to the House floor," said Rep. Adams.
