Adams Condemns President Trump’s Executive Order on Climate Change
Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after President Trump signed a sweeping Executive Order that dramatically changes the United States’ approach to climate change.
“Once again, this administration is putting corporations before people,” said Congresswoman Adams. “This Executive Order lets companies off of the hook and shifts environmental cleanup costs onto American taxpayers who are expected to be charged as much as $58 Billion by 2030. The President’s actions roll back critical protections to our air and water supplies and significantly reduce our ability to effectively fight climate change. As long as this administration continues to put big business first, its American families who will pay the greatest price.”
