The Black Maternal Health Momnibus includes a series of bills to comprehensively improve maternal health outcomes and close racial disparities in outcomes

Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, March 10, Representatives Alma Adams (NC-12) and Lauren Underwood (IL-14); Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA); and members of the Black Maternal Health Caucus will introduce a historic legislative package to address the United States’ urgent maternal health crisis. The legislation builds on existing maternal health legislation by filling gaps through nine new bills to comprehensively address every dimension of the Black maternal health crisis.

During the press conference led by Congresswomen Adams and Underwood, members will introduce each of the nine bills included in the Black Maternal Health Momnibus. Additionally, Senator Harris will introduce the Senate version of the Momnibus legislative package.
