Congresswoman Adams Applauds White House Nomination Of Denise Turner Roth To Head General Services Administration

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) today applauded the White House nomination of Ms. Denise Turner Roth to serve as Administrator for the General Services Administration (GSA).

"Ms. Denise Turner Roth is a proven leader who is qualified to serve as the Administrator for the General Services Administration," said Congresswoman Adams. "Ms. Roth served in my hometown of Greensboro for several years and has had a long and accomplished career in public service, most recently serving as the Deputy Administrator and Acting Administrator for GSA. She is more than prepared to take the reigns as the GSA Administrator and I hope the Senate will act swiftly to confirm her."

Denise Turner Roth is currently the Acting Administrator for GSA and has served as the Deputy Administrator since March 2014. Ms. Roth spent more than a decade in North Carolina, serving as the City Manager for the City of Greensboro, from 2011 to 2014 and as Assistant City Manager from 2008 to 2011. She was the Vice President of Governmental Affairs at the Greensboro Partnership from 2007 to 2008 and served in the district office of Congressman Brad Miller from 2003 to 2006. Ms. Denise Turner Roth earned a Bachelor's degree from George Mason University.
