Video: Adams Hosts Successful Virtual Coffee on Infrastructure and the Build Back Better Agenda

On Friday, I voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This legislation will invest in infrastructure and create jobs right here in Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE – Earlier today, at 11:00 AM ET, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) hosted a Virtual Coffee on Zoom to speak with the public about her votes to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and advance the Build Back Better Act. Participants included Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Julie Eiselt, Mecklenburg County Commissioner Mark Jerrell and Carlton Waterhouse, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Land and Emergency Management at the Environmental Protection Agency. Hundreds of constituents were in attendance on Zoom and on Twitter Spaces.

"Today I hosted our Virtual Coffee about President Biden's Build Back Better Agenda and Congress's recent passage of a key part of that agenda: the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act," said Congresswoman Adams. "On Friday, I voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This legislation will invest in infrastructure and create jobs right here in Charlotte. It is a $1.2 trillion dollar package that will have enormous benefits for the country and for North Carolina. This bill will strengthen our economy, secure cleaner air and water, and make our communities a better place to live and work by bringing our infrastructure into the 21st century."
