HBCU Partnerships 101: Best Practices for Engagement Across Industry

In the wake of the social justice movement spurred by the murder of George Floyd, many corporate entities have sought to create new environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria to determine the substance and scope of investments in disadvantaged communities. In the spirit of the mission of the Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus and its HBCU Partnership Challenge, many companies have spurred initiatives that include HBCU engagement as a key component. This panel is for those looking to replicate such efforts.
The panel will serve as a "Best Practices Seminar" for corporate partners and HBCUs who are looking to begin new or scale up existing partnerships. The audience will hear from leading companies in diverse industries, as well as their HBCU partners, on how they developed their respective partnerships, what were some of the challenges for partnership development, and what outcomes have presented themselves since. The audience will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
