Adams Announces Guest for State of the Union

January 30, 2018

Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) announced today that she will bring Anne Miller, a leader in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), as her guest at President Trump's first State of the Union.

"I am proud to have Ann Miller of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as my guest for tonight's State of the Union," said Congresswoman Adams. "Ann represents the millions of middle-class Americans who have been ignored by the Trump Administration. The President boasts about the greatness of our economy, yet he has done nothing to help the millions of Americans who are still struggling to make ends meet. He has failed to address stagnant wages, our public education system, or our aging infrastructure.

"Instead, he's spent the past year attacking our unions, weakening our health care, and creating a reckless tax plan that gives a massive 1.6 trillion dollar tax cut to corporations. Tonight, Ann and I stand in solidarity with working families to loudly proclaim that enough is enough.
