Adams Statement on the 2019 NBA All Star Game
Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after the announcement that Charlotte will host the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
“HB2 was flawed policy that cost our state countless jobs and hundreds of millions in lost revenue. Today’s announcement is the first step in moving past that terrible bill,” said Congresswoman Adams. “Hosting the All-Star Game will pump millions into our economy and highlight our dynamic and growing city but it also reminds us that there is still work to be done to ensure equal rights and protections for all North Carolinians.”
