Adams Statement on Republican Tax Bill Conference Report

Charlotte, N.C.—Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) gave the following statement after the Republican tax bill conference report was released:

"It just keeps getting worse. This version of the GOP tax scam steals even more from the middle class to give to corporations and the wealthy," said Congresswoman Adams. "It slashes the top tax rate for the wealthiest Americans and continues to explode the deficit, all while Republicans prepare to make drastic cuts to Social Security and Medicare and they insist that we cannot afford to reauthorize the Children's Health Insurance Program. It's absurd. American families won't forget who sold them out to help their wealthy donors and corporate interests."
