Adams Statement on Russian Aggression in Ukraine

CHARLOTTE – Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement condemning the Russian Federation's illegal war against the people of Ukraine:

"Vladimir Putin and the Russian military have launched an illegal war that has already claimed innocent lives. Ukraine is a sovereign, democratic country and this aggression against their people is unprovoked. I support President Biden's actions earlier this week to impose significant costs on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. Today, our Commander-in-Chief will announce further consequences for the Putin regime, isolating Russia from the world and leaving it weakened strategically, economically, and diplomatically. I continue to pray for peace; for the people and children of Ukraine; and for the Russian people who stand against Putin.
