Washington, DC — Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) issued the following statement on the upcoming vote to override Donald Trump's veto of the Emergency Declaration Resolution.

"Donald Trump claims he vetoed the bipartisan Emergency Declaration Resolution because our nation is at risk from a threat at the Southern border. Let's be clear – Donald Trump vetoed the resolution terminating his manufactured emergency in an attempt to fundamentally undermine the separation of powers. I look forward to voting to override the veto and hope my Republican colleagues will also stand against this senseless power grab."
