WASHINGTON— Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) participated in the annual NC Business & Economic Development Summit hosted by the 13 Members of the North Carolina Congressional delegation. Key speakers included House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and House Democratic Whip Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD).
During the bipartisan Summit, Representative Adams held meetings with both the Charlotte and Rowan Chambers of Commerce to discuss business and economic development throughout the region. Reps. Adams, Pittenger (NC-9) and Hudson (NC-8) later participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. The panel highlighted the critical role that small businesses play in driving our local economy forward.
“The NC Business & Economic Development Summit is a great opportunity for our Congressional delegation to come together to discuss key economic issues. It’s important that elected officials and local business leaders maintain open lines of communication. This bipartisan Summit is truly helping us put forth bipartisan solutions to address the greatest issues impacting folks at home,” said Rep. Adams.
