Congresswoman Adams’ Statement on the Confirmation of Senator Jeff Sessions as United States Attorney General

Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after Senator Jeff Sessions was confirmed as the United States Attorney General.

"Sessions' record of disrespect for minorities and women causes me great pause," said Congresswoman Adams. "During this tumultuous time we need reassurance that our rights will be protected and defended. As Attorney General, I hope Senator Sessions is prepared to stand up to the administration when necessary and work on behalf of all Americans. We, the citizens, will be watching."
