Congresswoman Adams’ Statement on the President’s Executive Order on Immigration
November 21, 2014
WASHINGTON, DC— Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) made the following statement regarding President Obama's executive order on immigration:
"I applaud the President for using his executive authority to address our broken immigration system. It has been over 500 days since the Senate overwhelmingly passed bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform and the House has yet to act. I hope the President's action will encourage my Republican colleagues in the House to bring legislation forward that Democrats and Republicans can work on together to finally address the much needed reform of our immigration system."
