February 3, 2021

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the Senate Swamp in front of the U.S. Capitol, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Representatives Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Alma Adams (D-NC), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Mondaire Jones (D-NY) will hold a press conference reintroducing their resolution calling on the President to take executive action to cancel up to $50,000 in debt for federal student loan borrowers.

"The Biden-Harris Administration has the opportunity to change lives and jumpstart our economy by cancelling $50,000 in student loan debt," said Congresswoman Adams. "These loans are holding American families back from buying houses, cars, and opening small businesses. Student loan debt prevents young families from building and creating wealth that they can pass down to their children and grandchildren. It's up to us to rebuild the bridge to the middle class for millions of Americans. Let's start by cancelling the debt."
