Congresswoman Alma Adams Statement on Texas GOP Lawsuit Against Pre-Existing Conditions Protections and Affordable Care Act

Charlotte NC-Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement after a Texas district court decision that would take away protections for people with pre-existing conditions and the Affordable Care Act

"Tonight's district court decision is appalling and yet another thinly veiled political attack on the Affordable Care Act and an assault on people with pre-existing conditions,"said Congresswoman Adams. "The Affordable Care Act has passed all levels of congressional and judicial scrutiny. Our courts and the American people have spoken, the Affordable Care Act is the law of the land and I will do everything within my power to protect it. I encourage my colleagues to do the same by enacting legislation to roll back today's decision and ensure coverage for those with pre-existing conditions."
