Congresswoman Alma Adams Sworn into the 115th Congress and Joins House Democratic Leadership
Washington, D.C.—Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) was sworn into the 115th Congress and will join House Democratic Leadership as an Assistant Whip. In this new position, she will play a key role in enforcing the Democratic agenda.
"I am humbled and excited to be sworn into the 115th Congress to serve my second full term representing the 12th District" said Congresswoman Adams. "When I took office in 2014 I made it a priority to fight for students, small businesses, women, and veterans. I am eager to continue our progress during this Congress.

Congresswoman Adams is a member of the Committee on Education and the Workforce, Small Business Committee, Agriculture Committee, and the Joint Economic Committee. Congresswoman Adams won a special election in 2014 to fulfill the unexpired term of Congressman Mel Watt and a full term in the 114th Congress. Today she was sworn into the 115th Congress to serve a second full term as the 12th District representative.
