July 5, 2016

Charlotte, NC — Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (D-NC) hosted a tele town hall on Thursday, June 30 to address gun safety concerns of constituents in the 12th District. Since the start of 2015 the United States has seen more than 350 mass shootings take place nationwide; locally in the Charlotte area, seven mass shootings occurred between 2013 and 2015.

On Thursday night, Congresswoman Adams heard the voices of the community and answered their questions about the gun violence epidemic as it has become a growing concern in the 12th District and nationwide. Rep. Adams has been a strong proponent for sensible gun reform and of President Obama’s executive orders to prevent additional gun violence from happening.
