Rep. Adams Appointed to Farm Bill Conference Committee
Washington D.C. – Rep. Adams released the following statement after being selected to serve on the House-Senate Conference Committee to work with members of the Senate to reconcile the respective farm bills and present a final version for a full vote. Rep. Adams joins 17 other House Democrats appointed by Leader Pelosi to serve on this committee.
“I’m honored to be selected to the House-Senate Conference Committee for the farm bill. I will work with my colleagues to ensure the strongest possible farm bill and to fight for the priorities of the 12th District,” said Congresswoman Adams. “I look forward to sitting down with our Senate counterparts, who were able to pass a strong, bipartisan bill, and working together to make the needed adjustments to the legislation. Together, I’m hopeful that we can get a farm bill passed and signed into law that avoids hardline provisions that fail the agriculture community and worsen our nation’s hunger crisis.”
