Rep. Adams Introduces Resolution Honoring AKA Founders Day
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is the largest of the Divine Nine

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) introduced a resolution honoring Founder’s Day for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, of which she is a member.
“To the First, Foremost and Finest, Happy Founders Day to all my Sorors!” said Rep. Adams. “I’m proud to introduce this legislation honoring the over 1000 chapters worldwide of Alpha Kappa Alpha, our 120,000 members, and the 117 years of volunteering and service we do for our communities.”
The resolution has 14 cosponsors. They are Rep. Holmes Norton (DC-AL), Rep. Frederica Wilson (FL-24), Rep. Nikema Williams (GA-05), Rep. Lauren Underwood (IL-14), Rep. Troy Carter (LA-02), Rep.
