Rep. Adams' Statement on Ceasefire in Gaza
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement on a ceasefire being reached in the war between Israel and Hamas:
“I am delighted about the news of a ceasefire in Gaza, to end the devastating fighting and return Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees home. My thoughts and prayers remain with the victims of this horrible war, those massacred on October 7th, and the many innocent Palestinians killed in Gaza in the 15 months since. I thank President Biden and the U.S. State Department for their help in delivering this ceasefire. I encourage the incoming administration to work to maintain the peace and help Palestine and Israel rebuild in the aftermath of this devastating war.”
