Updated Advisory: Adams Hosts Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights Town Hall
The previously announced in-person component has been cancelled due to Congresswoman Adams’ recent COVID-19 diagnosis, but the event will continue in full on Zoom.
CHARLOTTE (August 8, 2022) – On Wednesday, August 24 from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 PM EDT, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) will host a Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights Town Hall virtually on Zoom. The previously announced in-person component has been cancelled due to Congresswoman Adams’ recent COVID-19 diagnosis, but the event will continue in full on Zoom.
The Women’s Health and Reproductive Town Hall hosted by the Office of Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. will explain recent decisions by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) and issues raised by the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, including the legal, medical, and practical landscape for abortion care in Charlotte, North Carolina, and across the country.
