Morning Session with EPA Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe
Congresswoman Adams will convene a discussion with Deputy Administrator McCabe about opportunities for the $600 million allocated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency around Environmental Justice. Deputy Administrator McCabe will share input and expertise about NEW opportunities for HBCU students and their universities around environmental help with project implementation.

Fireside Chat with U.S. Department of Education Deputy Secretary Cindy Marten
Moderated by recent Hampton University graduate, Jessica Simmons, Deputy Secretary Marten will discuss with Congresswoman Adams, the U.S. Department of Education’s “You Belong in STEM” program.” They will also discuss the department’s efforts to assist HBCUs in exploring and upgrading their infrastructure while highlighting (2023 & 2024 - $100 million) IGNITE appropriations.

HBCU & Partners Panel Luncheon
Moderated by Dr. Jewel Bronaugh, President of the 1890 Universities Foundation, HBCU Universities, Colleges, and Challenge Partners will discuss what organizations, schools and universities are doing in the STEM space and the next level of NEW opportunities for students and their universities. Tieisha Smith, of TIAA, Dr. Earl Turner III, of the Pathways Foundation, Valinda Kennedy, of IBM, Dr. Shirley Hymon-Paker, of NCA&T, and Dr. Hacene Boukari, of Delaware State University, will all give presentations.
