CHARLOTTE – Today, the Biden-Harris Administration announced it has issued payments to eligible applicants under the Inflation Reduction Act’s Discrimination Financial Assistance Program (DFAP), which aims to provide financial assistance to farmers, ranchers, and forest landowners who experienced discrimination prior to January 2021. CHARLOTTE – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12) has announced that the city of Kannapolis, North Carolina will receive a $1 million federal grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), toward cleaning up a “brownfield” (an EPA designation for an environmentally contaminated site). This funding is part of a national tranche of grants from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) passed under the Biden-Harris Administration.
