Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) joined more than 170 of her Democratic colleagues to cosponsor the Protecting Our Democracy Act to establish an independent commission to investigate Russian interference into the 2016 election.
"The threat to American democracy posed by Russian interference into the 2016 election warrants a bipartisan and independent investigation," said Congresswoman Adams.

The NDAA included the Small and Disadvantaged Businesses Act of 2016, introduced by Congresswoman Adams. The NDAA will soon be signed into law by President Obama.
