The Continuing Resolution will maintain government funding at its current spend rate through April 28, 2017.

FUNDING LEVEL
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) scores a Continuing Resolution slightly above the Budget Control Act sequester cap for FY2017. The CR addresses the matter with an across-the-board cut of 0.19% for all accounts, defense and non-defense.

Washington, D.C.— Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) voted against H. Res. 933. This legislation would increase the funding available to the select panel assembled to investigate Planned Parenthood following the release of heavily edited videos from anti-abortion activists that allegedly showed Planned Parenthood profiting from the sale of fetal tissue collected from abortions by $800,000. An investigation by three House Committees has failed to produce any evidence that Planned Parenthood acted illegally or misused federal funds.

Dear Constituent:

In February 2016, the North Carolina Supreme Court struck down the current Congressional districts and mandated that the North Carolina General Assembly redraw the lines. The new Congressional districts are slated to take effect when Members of the 115th Congress are sworn into office January 3, 2017. At that time, the 12th Congressional District will be in Mecklenburg County only.

"I was disappointed to learn that yesterday a Texas judge placed an emergency injunction on the federal overtime rule set to take effect on December 1, 2016" said Congresswoman Adams.

"This delay causes confusion for businesses and employees and denies hard working Americans the overtime pay they should earn for working more than forty hours a week.
