WASHINGTON, DC —Today Congresswoman Adams announced that she will return to Charlotte, NC Wednesday evening following final votes to meet with local officials and community leaders.
Congresswoman Adams will receive updates on the ongoing investigation of the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott and protests taking place around the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.
Earlier, Congresswoman Adams had private calls with the NAACP, the Department of Justice and Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts.

I understand all too well the emotions that many Charlotteans and people all across the nation are feeling. However, violence is not the answer. CHARLOTTE — Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) continued her Made in the 12th District Tour with Mayor Jennifer Roberts and Councilwoman LaWana Mayfield by hosting a roundtable with local manufacturers. The roundtable brought together employers and workforce development trainers to discuss issues impacting the manufacturing sector-which is one of North Carolina’s largest industries.
Participating companies included Siemens Energy, Inc., Snyder’s-Lance, Inc., Bosch Rexroth, Charlotte Works, and participants from Central Piedmont Community College.
