Washington, D.C. – On the 45^th anniversary of Earth Day, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) joins the Congressional Safe Climate Caucus. The purpose of the caucus is to increase awareness of the risks of climate change and to work to preserve and protect the environment.

Greensboro, N.C. – Congresswoman Alma Adams, a member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee and Subcommittee on Higher Education today met with presidents as well as representatives from four Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in North Carolina's 12^th Congressional District for a candid and open conversation about HBCUs. The purpose of the roundtable was to hear directly from local HBCUs about the issues impacting their schools.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, a former professor and member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee today announced the introduction of a resolution she sponsored to commemorate Women's History Month by honoring the contributions women have made to education. H. Res. 176 recognizes and honors the achievements of women that have helped to create greater access to education and have helped close gender equality gaps.

Butterfield (NC-1) and David Price (NC-4) today sent a letter urging North Carolina's two U.S. Senators to support Loretta Lynch, who is a North Carolina native, in her nomination for Attorney General. Senators Richard Burr and Thom Tillis previously announced their opposition to Lynch's nomination.
