Washington, DC – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) today announced the opening of six new satellite offices throughout North Carolina's 12th District. In addition to Congresswoman Adams' two district offices in Charlotte and Greensboro, constituents from North Carolina's 12th Congressional District can visit either one of the six satellite offices during the days and hours they are open. Congresswoman Adams' staff will be available to assist constituents with casework and various other services during the times the satellite offices are open.
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12), a former art professor at Bennett College and member of the Congressional Arts Caucus today announced the winners of her 2015 Congressional art competition. Congresswoman Adams held an exhibit and competition at the African American Atelier gallery. During the reception, 38 pieces of art submitted by high school students in North Carolina's 12th Congressional District were displayed and judged by three local artists.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (D-NC) joined in the fight to raise the minimum wage by becoming an original cosponsor for the Raise the Wage Act. The Raise the Wage Act would gradually raise the minimum wage to $12 by 2020. The legislation would also phase out the current $2.13 minimum wage for tipped employees.
