The resolution recognizes the significance of equal pay and the disparity in wages paid to white, non-Hispanic men and to Black women.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) announced she is an original cosponsor of the Protecting Renters from Evictions Act of 2021. The legislation will soon be introduced by House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters to provide a clean extension of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) eviction moratorium until December 31, 2021. It is expected to be considered by the House of Representatives within the next 24 hours.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced $60 million in funding for its largest-ever cohort of university-based Industrial Assessment Centers (IACs), which assist small- and medium-sized manufacturers in reducing their carbon emissions and lowering energy costs, while training the next generation of energy-efficiency workers. The groundbreaking investment will help remove barriers to decarbonization across the manufacturing sector and advance the Biden Administration's goal of achieving a clean energy economy.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12), the founder and co-chair of the bipartisan Congressional HBCU Caucus, as well as a professor for four decades at Bennett College, released a statement applauding the accreditation of Bennett College. The Department of Education determined in a July 23 letter that it will approve the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools ("TRACS") as Bennett's institutional accrediting agency, effective as of March 25, 2021.
