WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Fourth Annual HBCU STEAM Day of Action continues on Thursday, March 11th with a panel discussion featuring Congressional heavyweights. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn are expected to speak at the "Pandemics and Partnerships: How Public and Private Sector Engagement can Propel a COVID Recovery" panel discussion at 12:00 Noon ET on March 11.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) voted for final passage of H.R. 1319, the American Rescue Plan Act, landmark, life-saving legislation that will provide urgently-needed resources to defeat the COVID-19 virus, put vaccines in people's arms, money into families' pockets, children safely back into classrooms and people back to work. This legislation will now go to President Biden's desk for his signature.

The HBCU Partnership Challenge is an effort to promote greater engagement and support between private companies and HBCUs. Already, 56 companies have taken the challenge.
Washington, D.C. – Last night, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) honored the late Congressman and modern-day founding father, John Lewis, on the floor of the United States House of Representatives during a special order hour commemorating the "Bloody Sunday" march in Selma, Alabama 56 years ago. Adams joined other members of the Congressional Black Caucus for the event, many of whom wore "Good Trouble" masks in honor of Lewis.
