Charlotte – Today is Congresswoman Alma Adams' 74th Birthday, and an occasion to celebrate a landmark year in her public service career. In addition to continuing her leadership role in Congress on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Adams has taken on a new role as the co-chair of the Black Maternal Health Caucus. Adams continued to lead on Affordable Housing, Hunger, and Health Care issues as well.

Due to COVID-19, millions of America's small businesses were required to halt operations and lay off employees. PPP is a forgivable loan that was designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll.
