Washington D.C.- "I came to Congress to raise the wage, push for equal opportunity and to ensure that North Carolina's families have the resources they need to thrive. That is why I made it my mission to serve on key committees " said Congresswoman Adams. I worked hard to be appointed to the exclusive Committee on Financial Services, a major achievement for our District. We are home to 71 financial institutions that employ over 70,000 people. Financial Services will lead the push for affordable housing, an issue that plagues our region.
Charlotte NC- "Today's announcement was an embarrassment. President Trump and Senator McConnell must stop the antics and re-open the government now. Thousands of families are suffering and our nation's security and our economy are at risk," said Congresswoman Adams. "President Trump unilaterally ended DACA and limited TPS just months ago. Today, he back tracked and proposed three year, temporary protections for Dreamers and those seeking TPS in return for his permanent wall. This is unacceptable and offensive."
