Washington, D.C.— Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12), co-chair of the Congressional Bipartisan Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Caucus, and Congressman Mark Walker (NC-06) welcomed their third class of Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus interns to Washington, D.C. this week. The internship, launched in 2016, welcomes a student from Johnson C. Smith University and North Carolina A&T State University to Washington, D.C. to intern for four weeks in both Reps. Adams' and Walker's offices.

Washington, D.C.—Today, the Bipartisan Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Caucus and the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) Caucus hosted the first HBCU STEAM Day of Action on Capitol Hill. This unique event brought HBCU presidents and administrators from thirty-four schools and industry leaders to Capitol Hill to meet with key Members of Congress and senior staff from both parties and in both chambers.
