WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) announced she is an original cosponsor of the Protecting Renters from Evictions Act of 2021. The legislation will soon be introduced by House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters to provide a clean extension of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) eviction moratorium until December 31, 2021. It is expected to be considered by the House of Representatives within the next 24 hours.
