"I want you to know I am safe, our 12th District Staff is safe, and we are sheltering in place. Right now, the safety of our staff and colleagues is my number one priority. As soon as the situation at the Capitol passes, I stand ready to do my constitutional duty, certify the vote, and return to the business of working for the people. Thanks to everyone who is concerned for our safety and checking in on us."

Trump for attempting to overturn the results of the November 2020 presidential election in the State of Georgia. They were joined by more than 90 colleagues.

Washington, D.C. – A bill introduced by Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D., (NC-12) to strengthen partnerships between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and federal agencies was signed into law last week. The HBCU Propelling Agency Relationships Towards a New Era of Results for Students (PARTNERS) Act will strengthen partnerships between federal agencies and the country's more than 100 HBCUs.

This is Adams' third stand-alone bill to be signed into law during the 116th Congress.
