Adams serves on the House Committee on Education and Labor, and as the co-chair and founder of the Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus.

Charlotte - On National App Day, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12) announces this year's Congressional App Challenge winners from Mecklenburg County. Since 2013, the Congressional App Challenge has provided high school students across the country the opportunity to create and display their software applications (or "app") for mobile, tablet, or computer devices. The competition is intended to encourage engagement in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education.

Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12), vice chair of the House Agriculture Committee, will give opening remarks a meeting of the Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research subcommittee on 1890 Land Grant Universities. The hearing, "1890 Land Grant Institutions – 130 Years of Building Equity in Agriculture," will focus on the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) that make up the program, including North Carolina A&T University.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12)'s amendments are included in the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that passed the House yesterday and is headed to President Trump's desk.
Rep. Adams offered two amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act which were included in the House bill and are now in the final bill:

Lynch (MA-08) led 71 of their House colleagues in sending a letter to the United States Postal Service Inspector General to request an investigation into the decline in on-time mail delivery in the weeks leading up to the November 2020 Election.
