Local issues in the District will always be the primary concern of Congresswoman Adams. She takes her duties as the U.S. Representative of North Carolina's 12th Congressional District very seriously. Whether she is securing federal funding for district schools or health care institutions, or fighting for a living wage and affordable taxes for her constituents, she will always put the needs of the 12th District first, and be its advocate in the House of Representatives.

Charlotte, NC – On Saturday, April 22, 2017, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) and Congressman Richard Hudson (NC-08) hosted the 2017 North Carolina Congressional Award Ceremony for youth who have exhibited a willingness to voluntarily help others in the community, while reinforcing their own strengths in areas of personal development, physical fitness, and expedition/exploration in their communities. This year's ceremony honored 101 winners from across North Carolina who logged 62,110 hours of voluntary public service.
