Local issues in the District will always be the primary concern of Congresswoman Adams. She takes her duties as the U.S. Representative of North Carolina's 12th Congressional District very seriously. Whether she is securing federal funding for district schools or health care institutions, or fighting for a living wage and affordable taxes for her constituents, she will always put the needs of the 12th District first, and be its advocate in the House of Representatives.

Charlotte, NC— Congresswoman Alma Adams welcomed Congressman David Price, Ranking Member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee, to Charlotte for a tour of the Charlotte Area Transit System. WASHINGTON, DC —Today Congresswoman Adams announced that she will return to Charlotte, NC Wednesday evening following final votes to meet with local officials and community leaders.
Congresswoman Adams will receive updates on the ongoing investigation of the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott and protests taking place around the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area.
Earlier, Congresswoman Adams had private calls with the NAACP, the Department of Justice and Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts.
WASHINGTON, DC — "Earlier this morning I had a call with Mayor Jennifer Roberts; I will continue to work closely with all City officials and community leaders as this case develops. I understand all too well the emotions that many Charlotteans and people all across the nation are feeling. However, violence is not the answer.
