Building Our Future Infrastructure Town Hall (Huntersville)
WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswomen Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12), Haley Stevens (MI-11), and Delegate Gregorio Kilili Sablan (MP-At Large) led a letter with 22 of their colleagues calling on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to make K-12 teachers and school personnel a priority group for receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – During the 116th Congress, Representative Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12) was a tireless advocate for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), as well as a consistent voice on equity issues in education. Adams serves on the House Committee on Education and Labor, and as the co-chair and founder of the Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Black Caucus Chair Karen Bass (CA-37) and House Committee on Education and Labor Chairman Bobby Scott (VA-03) will join Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) on a higher education press call on Wednesday, December 16 at 9:30 AM EST. The call will cover topics ranging from successes in the 116th Congress; what teachers, students, and schools need before Congress goes home for the holidays; and what to look forward to in the next Congress and beyond.
CHARLOTTE – While continuing to work for Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in Washington, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) will host a "Virtual Carolina Coffee Open House" event this Wednesday at Noon on Zoom. Adams' Carolina Coffee is open to the public and open press.
Charlotte - On National App Day, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. (NC-12) announces this year's Congressional App Challenge winners from Mecklenburg County. Since 2013, the Congressional App Challenge has provided high school students across the country the opportunity to create and display their software applications (or "app") for mobile, tablet, or computer devices. The competition is intended to encourage engagement in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education.
