Washington, D.C.—Today, Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) joined her colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus and the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to introduce a resolution to censure President Trump for the racist "shithole" comments he made about Haiti and African countries during a bipartisan January 11, 2018, meeting on American immigration policy. The resolution currently has nearly 150 Democratic co-sponsors.

Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) attended the Senate Judiciary Committee meeting today to express her strong opposition to the confirmation of Thomas Farr to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Prior to today's meeting, the Congressional Black Caucus sent a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein strongly opposing the nomination.
