Charlotte, N.C.—On National Manufacturing Day, Rep. Adams made her fifth stop on the #MadeInMecklenburg Tour with a visit to groninger USA, LLC in Charlotte. The visit included a tour of the facility and an opportunity to learn about groninger USA's dual manufacturing apprenticeship program started in 2014 to address the skills gap challenging many local manufacturers. groninger is known for manufacturing closing and liquid filling equipment for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
Washington, D.C.—Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, Vice Ranking Member of the House Small Business Committee, led a letter, signed by nine Vice-Ranking members, to Congressional leadership calling for a bipartisan bicameral investigation into data breaches. Their call comes on the heels of the Equifax and Yahoo data breaches that have compromised billions of people's information globally. This is the first time Vice Ranking Members have united to address an issue.

WASHINGTON – Today, House Small Business Committee Chairman Steve Chabot (R-OH) and Vice-Ranking Member Alma Adams (D-NY) held a roundtable to discuss private sector entrepreneurial development programs, and, specifically, the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative. Participants included Goldman Sachs executives, Community Development Financial Institution lenders, and small business owners who have utilized the entrepreneurial development program.
