Charlotte, NC— Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) joined the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus and other members of Congress to remember the 49 victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting on its one-month anniversary.
Rep. Adams paid special homage to the memory of one of North Carolina victims, Shane Evan Tomlinson, by holding his picture during the vigil atop the U.S. Capitol steps. Following the day of remembrance, Congresswoman Adams had this to say:

Charlotte Douglas International Airport received two grants in the amounts of $3.75 million and $6.9 million by the U.S. Department of Transportation. With these awards, Charlotte Douglas International Airport will study the environmental impact of projects identified under its capital improvement plan, and also support the airport’s ongoing infrastructure improvements.
