Today’s decision will allow the court to decide whether or not the 1st and the 12th congressional Districts illegally compacts minority communities into those congressional districts.

WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) announced that five education bills were marked up by the House Education and the Workforce Committee last week. One of the bills was introduced by Congresswoman Adams; the HBCU Capital Financing Act (H.R. 5530) which will increase access to capital for HBCUs.
Washington, DC—Today, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams (NC-12) and Congresswoman Nita Lowey (NY-17) introduced the Public Safety and Wildlife Protection Act.
The Public Safety and Wildlife Protection Act will prohibit interstate shipment of leghold and Conibear traps. This legislation will not supersede a state’s policies and regulations on trapping; it does however ensure that these two dangerous traps do not cross state lines.
