Fiscal Responsibility
Fiscal responsibility is not just a buzzword to Congresswoman Adams. She is committed to reducing the national deficit, and working on bipartisan solutions to support job creation and protect the most vulnerable. This means tax increases for the wealthy and tax cuts for the middle class. In order to fully restore the country's economic sustainability, a balanced approach must be adopted.

Charlotte – Today is Congresswoman Alma Adams' 74th Birthday, and an occasion to celebrate a landmark year in her public service career. In addition to continuing her leadership role in Congress on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Adams has taken on a new role as the co-chair of the Black Maternal Health Caucus. Adams continued to lead on Affordable Housing, Hunger, and Health Care issues as well.

WASHINGTON — Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) released the following statement on the bipartisan passage of the $2 trillion economic aid passage to combat the coronavirus pandemic, also known as the CARES Act, which will now go to the President's desk for his signature:
Charlotte – Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12) will host a TeleTown Hall at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 23 to connect constituents with federal, state, and local programs that can provide help and support during the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, she will provide an update on what legislators in Washington are doing to fight the health and economic effects of the coronavirus. Participants will be able to ask questions during a Q&A portion of the call.
